About This Ministry

""I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of the wicked.""
Psalm 84:10
🎯 Mission

The Ushering Ministry is the front line of CBC's hospitality, the first face every visitor sees, the team that makes a 65-year-old and a first-timer both feel equally at home. We don't just seat people. We welcome them.

💡 Rationale

How someone is received at the door shapes how they receive what happens inside. Ushers at CBC are trained to see every person who walks in as a gift, a potential member, a seeking soul, a wandering prodigal finding their way home.

🌐 Vision

We want CBC's doors to be the most welcoming doors in Muntinlupa. Every guest, every Sunday, leaves saying: 'They knew my name before I knew theirs.'

What We Do

🚪
Sunday Door Welcome
Every Sunday, 7:30 AM
Ushers greet every person at the door before and during service, learning names, noting first-timers, and making everyone feel genuinely welcome.
📋
Visitor Orientation Packets
Every Sunday
First-time visitors receive a welcome packet with church info, next steps, and a connection card. Ushers personally guide them through it.
🙏
Offering Coordination
During service
Ushers manage the offering process with dignity and order, ensuring it is smooth, respectful, and not awkward for visitors.
📞
First-Timer Follow-Up
Within 48 hours
After every Sunday, ushers flag first-time visitors for follow-up calls from the assimilation team, no one slips through.
🎓
Volunteer Training
Regular schedule
Ushers are trained not just in logistics but in genuine, Christ-like hospitality, because how we welcome people reflects the God we serve.
🚀

How to Get Involved

1
Show up — Every Sunday, 7:30 AM setup through end of service
No registration, no fee. Just come. Wear whatever. Invite a friend.
2
Fill out a connection card
Just your name and number so we can add you to the group chat and make sure you're connected.
3
Get plugged into a discipleship group
After a few visits, Sis. Adelinda San Juan will introduce you to a small accountability group. That's where the real growth happens.
4
Serve and lead
When you're ready, take on a role. Help lead, mentor others, or start your own group. Every member is a minister.
