About This Ministry

""Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.""
2 Corinthians 5:17
🎯 Mission

New Believer's Class is the essential first step for every person who has just trusted Jesus Christ. In a few sessions, we walk them through what just happened, what it means, and what comes next, from conversion to baptism to church membership at CBC.

💡 Rationale

Salvation is a moment. Discipleship is a lifetime. New Believer's Class is where that lifetime begins, giving new Christians the foundations they need to grow strong from day one: who God is, what the gospel is, what baptism means, and what it means to be a member of the body of Christ.

🌐 Vision

Every person who surrenders to Christ at CBC should, within 4–6 weeks, have completed New Believer's Class, been baptized, and been placed in a care group. That journey from decision to belonging is what this ministry exists to make happen.

What We Do

📖
New Believer Orientation
Ongoing — new classes regularly
Multi-session class walking new Christians through what salvation means, who God is, and what it means to follow Jesus in the CBC community.
💧
Baptism Preparation
Before each baptism service
Personal preparation for water baptism, understanding what it represents, what it means doctrinally, and what it signals to the church.
📜
CBC Statement of Faith
During orientation class
Introduction to all 10 points of CBC's Statement of Faith, helping new believers understand what the church they've joined actually believes.
🤝
Church Membership Orientation
As part of class
Walk new believers through the CBC Covenant, what membership means, what it requires, and why it matters.
👥
Care Group Placement
Upon class completion
Every graduate of New Believer's Class is personally placed into a Care Group, the final step from decision to belonging.
🚀
