About This Ministry

""So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God.""
Ephesians 2:19
🎯 Mission

The Assimilation Ministry exists to make sure no one who walks through CBC's doors stays a stranger. We walk with new attendees, new believers, and transferees through their first steps — from visitor to member, from outsider to family.

💡 Rationale

Coming to church for the first time is awkward. The second time is uncertain. The third time — if no one noticed you — might be the last. Assimilation is how CBC closes that gap. We are Step 2 in the CBC 7-Step Discipleship Process: after Assessment, before Affirmation.

🌐 Vision

Within 3 months of their first visit, every new CBC attendee should have a name, a face they know, a group they belong to, and a next step in their discipleship journey. No one falls through the cracks.

What We Do

🌟
New Believer's Class Handoff
Ongoing
Coordinate with New Believer's Class to ensure every conversion at CBC flows into formal discipleship within 4–6 weeks.
📖
EBS Referrals
As needed
Refer seekers and new believers to Evangelistic Bible Study groups closest to their home or workplace for personal gospel follow-up.
👥
Care Group Connection
Ongoing
Place new attendees into a Care Group that fits their location, life stage, and schedule — turning attendance into belonging.
📞
New Attendee Follow-Up Calls
Within 48 hours
Personal phone calls to every first-time visitor within 48 hours of their visit — a real voice, a real welcome, a real next step.
📋
Connection Card Processing
Every Sunday
Collect, process, and log every connection card filled out during the service — the first data point for every new visitor's journey.
🚀

How to Get Involved

1
Show up — Every Sunday (connection cards + follow-up) + weekday follow-up
No registration, no fee. Just come. Wear whatever. Invite a friend.
2
Fill out a connection card
Just your name and number so we can add you to the group chat and make sure you're connected.
3
Get plugged into a discipleship group
After a few visits, Sis. Jiselle Esquierdo will introduce you to a small accountability group. That's where the real growth happens.
4
Serve and lead
When you're ready, take on a role. Help lead, mentor others, or start your own group. Every member is a minister.
